Today marks the day this community turns 2 years old. On June 13th 2024 I created this cozy corner for daily gaming on lemmy.zip.

As you can see when sorting by Old, I only made 3 posts before others joined and brought the games they wanted to play to the community. That's what I love the most about this community. It doesn't depend on me being an active poster. These days most posts are made by others, you'll find me in the comments, just playing.

I don't track numbers regularly, but according to the sidebar we have 3.88K subscribers who made 9.23K posts and 36.5K comments in total. That's quite impressive.

That puts us in the Top 5 of all time lemmy.zip communities.

And, it's an incomplete dataset, but looking at LemmyStat, we are in the Top 50 of all communities. Activity over time looks stable as well. If you're interested in graphs and more data, have a look at their community analysis for this community.

It's always nice to see dailygames@lemmy.zip mentioned in other places, mostly about cozy games and wholesome communities on the threadiverse. It tends to bring good hearted people here. Almost no mod actions needed. Thanks for being a cozy crew :)
