I've been using the Powerblock travel bench at home for the better part of a decade now, and I'd like to get a real adjustable bench, and I'd like to get the dip handles attachment since I don't currently have a solution at home for dips. I've been happy with the travel bench and my Powerblocks Elite EXP since maybe 2015 or so, and that got me looking at the Powerbench 2.0. I'm leaning toward getting the Powerbench 2.0, but there don't seem to be many reviews for it to give me an idea of its quality.
I've found reviews raving about the Ironmaster bench, but the adjustment mechanism makes me a bit uncomfortable, as does the removable sliding seat, seems like something to just get in the way when I'm not using it (I work out in a 10x12 room that doubles as my home office, so not a ton of space). But it's mostly the floating mechanisms of the bench make me a bit nervous about their longevity and stability compared to a traditional ladder slot adjustable bench.
Has anybody tried both of these and have an opinion? Or just any experience with either that could point me to one or the other? They're similarly priced in the end (~$550 - $570 and free shipping) with the dip handle attachment, so price isn't really a concern here, though they're both at the upper end of what I'd pay for something like this, so not looking at other benches, just these two.
....
Actually, scratch the whole post. I discovered the Freak ABX and it looks like a clear winner.
I've never seen an incline bench with dip bar handles. That's really fucking cool. I'll need to check these out and ask a few friends to see if they have any recs.
Can't seem to access the power block site in the UK for anything other than the adjustable dumbbells for now, I'll try to tunnel around.
