Everyone is watching free TV. That's a big problem for Hollywood.

Paywall removed: https://archive.is/bJTc4
While I'm not a fan of ads and don't mind paying a reasonable price for ad free services, I suspect the reason many folks don't mind ads is that we're all dicking around on our phones anyway.
Ads started off quick and short. A 15 second or less gap, I probably kept my eyes on the screen. Now? 90+ seconds? I'm gone. Hell I was probably already on my phone during the show, I didn't even notice the ad start to play until it was halfway over.
I did a DirecTV Streaming trial and during one of the on demand shows it said '1 of 8 ads 200 seconds'. I didn't subscribe after the trial.
That's terrible. If I'm paying then I expect no ads.
All these subscriptions I'm paying don't seem to be that free to me
Particularly the ones that are double dipping and throwing adverts in too now
There are plenty of ads supported free tv options out there. Combine this with a plethora of content out there. Add in the fact cable network channels are just reruns of the same show with no new content why would I pay?
Didn't remove paywall for me... (Not complaining, just pointing out that they may have found a way around this method, which sux.)
ads are evolving and getting smarter lol
