Recipe. Mashed potatoes mixed with choux dough and fried. Tasty.

Savory donut hole

2 tea spoons of sugar in the pastry, optional. No - like pommes fondant - the name sounds sweet but they are savory.

Definitely savory. We enjoyed them with a store-bought street corn dip.
