Good news for the 0 people still interested in playing it.

That's quite fast compared to triangle strategy

It probably wasn't selling enough to pay for the Denuvo fees.

The only good thing about Denuvo is that by putting game companies through the subscription service BS, it's almost sure that they will drop it eventually.

I was actually slightly interested in this when I first saw the gameplay, but after seeing a bit of the dialogue in a trailer I was flabbergasted by how cringey it was. It seems like it was written by a teenager who just got done watching pulp fiction for the first time and wanted to see how many cuss words they could cram into each sentence.

I honestly liked it a lot, and it ended up being one of my favorite games this year.

What has made it your favourite game this year? I'm not trying to have a dig, I'm just interested in hearing different opinions from the usual ones.

It feels like a fairytale to me, I guess in some ways it gives me the same feeling that the show 'Once Upon a Time' did on my first watch. The world is interesting, it's got incredible lore, it's just not in your face.

There are some strong emotional moments and Grey feels relatable to me. I know she was criticized for being unlikeable, but she feels like a real person to me, she doesn't want to be a hero and she's not afraid to tell you, she's not only a reluctant hero, she's not a hero and that's real.

There were some amazing set pieces, and the bosses are pretty intense and each one is really unique. There were some plot twists I wasn't expecting too. It oozes mystery and it doesn't really give you all the answers.

There are legit criticisms, the world is way too big and empty, there is only one city in the entire game with NPCs, and it has Jack all for side quests. I would recommend ignoring most of the open world and sticking to the story beats, you'll have a better experience.

I also think the world feels real and lived in, there are entire villages and cities, all abandoned, but feel fully realized, almost like they were going to have NPCs and they just went a different direction.

That was an interesting read, thanks for taking the time to reply. It's always good to hear different points of view, especially on something that is usually spoken of so negatively.

Ok but, is it any good now?

still shit

Maybe it’ll perform slightly better now. Consider me slightly less disinterested, I guess. Might even grab it on sale on principle now they’ve pulled denuvo…

Yay! Probably still not gonna play it, but who knows? Maybe good games will follow their example 🤞🤞🤞
