Error
Hadn't heard of this one. I legit did a double take when I read the author - I guess I can see his style in the poem, on a second read, but like you mentioned it's really not what you expect of Poe. Thanks for sharing :)
That's one of the things I love about it. You read his other poetry and you expect this totally gothic thing, and it's the least gloomy thing he wrote. Even the dark bits are filled with the sounds he's conveying, which lifts it back up.
