Everyone asks me about my plans for having children. A nest of noisy miner birds has taught me how to respond

For nosy family I always feel like it's such a rude thing. How do you know they can even have children? What if he/she can't have children and it hurts emotionally thinking about it, and you just have to ask? I wish we'd normalize not asking.
Making my decision to be childless caused me no stress. But it does, for some reason, cause stress to others.
Because they accepted the convention that they would be unhappy if they didn't, and now have doubts.
The reality: life isn't easy for anyone, and the choice you didn't make is unfettered by the ugly realities of the details. So the people stressed out by childless adults are stressed about their own lives; not yours.
Pay them no mind
