Google Maps and Apple Maps have capitulated to the orange buffoon.

Someone added official_name:en-US:Gulf of America

I vote to rename that tag to 'nazis_name:'.

I wish Organic Maps was a bit more up to date for my area (a smallish town in a semi-rural area of Japan). I'd use it if it were, but I also can't be expected to update the whole city on my own.

You could focus on the places you frequent. You could spend 10 minutes each day you edit the map.

One can also use Street Complete, which allows you to improve tags in the OMS with minimal effort, with a quest-like system.

Does anyone know (or know a better place to ask this) how I could help add to the public transit part of Organic Maps? It's not great for my area but I want it to be and I ride public transit a lot

They don’t do bus routes or most relations, only subway

They should import all POIs though

You can first check if they're on OSM. If not, go ham! If you want help, I'd love to help you get started.

If they are there then it's a matter of developing the Organic Maps app to display these lines, you could help them with coding
