GNU Taler is a Free Software payment system that preserves the privacy of payers while ensuring that income is visible to authorities.
Very exciting! A German Euro exchange should follow soon, and I am working on a small grant to enable Taler donations later this year.

This is cool! One of those projects I've been vaguely aware of but not really quite understood, but cool to see them making this milestone. I'll try to dive a little deeper into this tomorrow.
I guess starting with swiss francs is a way to debug at small scale. Do they have a roadmap to euro ?
