Adhesive Help - Rubbery Bond Could Pull Off if Desired

1y 2mon ago by lemmy.ca/u/uninvitedguest in diy@beehaw.org from lemmy.ca

I'm looking to replace a panel of my computer mouse with a 3D printed part. I don't want to create a permanent bond (such that it can be changed out in the future), so I was considering something like rubber cement or silicone caulking to affix it. Thought I would check with those more knowledgeable as to the suitability of those options/suggestions for others.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Not my pictures.

Give Command Picture Hanging Strips a try, cut them to size and they leave no residue behind.

Also some other suggestions that came to mind.

  1. Hot glue gun, the glue should be removable after the fact and easy to find.

  2. Hot melt adhesives glue, this is the type you find in phones around the screens for example. You heat the area to loosen the glue.
