Do you all think he really will return?
I doubt it. If I remember right he was declining drastically and I can only think of a handful of players who left the NHL and came back in any capacity.
I agree. I think I read articles implying he was suffering from long covid for a while, too, which probably doesn't help the likelihood of him coming back, let alone as an effective NHL player
