An Open Letter to Kickstarter Creators: Why We, Kickstarter United, Are Fighting for a Four-Day 32-Hour Workweek

So, it's a union of Kickstarter employees, asking Kickstarter users to put pressure on Kickstarter to give them a good contract.

More power to 'em.

I don't get it, isn't the point of the union to bargain with Kickstarter themselves? What will a bunch of random signatures from internet users change?

It gives them leverage:

  • fear of further public image damage=leverage
  • fear of boycotts from producers=leverage
  • contact list of motivated producers that might help with future actions=leverage
