Seagulls are reaching plague proportions outside Parliament House, harassing staff and visitors
9mon 24d ago by aussie.zone/u/Tau in canberra@aussie.zone from www.abc.net.auWith the weather getting warmer, seagulls have begun swarming the forecourt of Parliament House in Canberra in huge numbers.
Strategies are being put in place to discourage the nesting birds, which have been known to harass visitors and staff.
The gulls are expected to have cleared the area within a few weeks.
Drone warfare Aussie style.

If they ever let people walk on top of Parliament House again the way it was originally designed - to symbolise that the politicians are not above the people - then I am gonna be heading there with ALL the chips.
Wait why don't they let people do that anymore? I remember doing it as a kid in school lol.
I did find a snippet that said "Visitors can still access the rooftop lawns via an internal lift after undergoing security checks at the main entrance."
So seems it is still possible.
I'm booking a trip to Canberra. Does anyone know if security will object to having 500 kilos of chips delivered to Mr C. Gull?
Fair enough
"Terrorism".
Call in the RES (Royal Emu Service).
Those pesky wings-with-beaks-attached can find out what its like to deal with a real bird!
Seems like an appropriate spot for even more scavengers to congregate.
