Yum what will you make with these?
The peppers will go into assorted dishes over the next week, the tomatoes will be lucky if they’re not all just munched from the bowl on the counter in the next three days haha
Enjoy!
Looks nice! I’ll hopefully be there soon, just yesterday I saw I had half a dozen green tomatoes and a couple zucchini finally instead of just flowers. Hope everything survives this weeks heat dome!
Awesome! Fingers crossed for your harvest!
They look great, what kind of tomatoes are those?
They’re heirloom blush cherries, and huge recommend for them, they’re so tasty!
Do you have any tips for keeping tomatoes plants alive? Mine plant died after giving me a grand total of one fruit.
Consistent soil moisture (not too wet/dry) and good airflow between plants has made the bigest difference for my tomatoes - I went from 2-3 fruits to dozens by spacing them properly and using mulch to keep the soil evenly moist during hot days.
Biggest difference I did this year was water less than I have been. Apparently I’ve been kind of drowning my plants….
Besides that, some good chicken poop mix to start and up keeping on fertilizer seemed to help a lot!
Thanks for the advice! I'll see if I can put some of it into practice then
