A movie and director I absolutely adore. Give the movie a go if you like surreal stuff.
just watched this recently
found it immensely satisfying watching rich criminals fail to have dinner over and over in increasingly absurd ways
Normally I can get overly analytical during a vague movie that I feel has a message to be deciphered but this was so well paced and edited that I could enjoy it without scrambling my mind.
Incredible content wise, but also visually beautiful, incredible long tracking shots which I just love. Also how was every performer so damn good
(I later ended up scrambling my mind)
i understand its Bunuel's directorial "comeback party" kind of movie, so i think this is one of those masterworks you get when a bunch of artistic weirdos with talent for production get to have fun
Yes it was one of his weirder ones.
But then again. He made a short story with his friend Picasso early in his career
Would also recommend the exterminating angel and belle de jour from bunuel.
