Wore my Seiko Monster yesterday for the first time in probably five years

Was looking in my watch box and realized that I haven't put this one on in quite a while. It's one of the earlier models (maybe the original?), so it has the non-hacking, non-handwinding movement. I've really come to like that movement, now that it isn't the standard one used in Seiko's watches anymore. Sure, a hacking and handwinding movement is better, but I'm nostalgic for the one that was used in affordable Seikos when I first started collecting them. It makes you do the little ritual of putting on the watch and wearing it for a bit, so that it starts ticking, before you can set the time.
I always vigorously shake mine to get it going. Runs fine for 20 years so far.
