Introducing Fluux Messenger: A Modern XMPP Client Born from a Holiday Coding Session

Open source is about scratching your own itch.

The client looks good. Having an SDK to bridge between the XMPP world and UI world makes sense to me. It's a direction many projects are going in.

I'm frustrated that they require a CLA that allows them to relicense the project. I don't want to contribute to a project where one player gets more power compared to everyone else. As far as I know, no other developers in the XMPP world have the same dynamic.

Tried it on my Linux tablet. Works well so far, only very few rough edges (for which I have opened issues).

i might wait until they're a little more committed to supporting the protocol and not a server platform

We aim to create an XMPP client that respects standards, but currently the project has been tested exclusively with ejabberd.

Written in go with the fluux library?

It seems the Fluux SDK is new and written in Typescript instead.
