Mount Saint Helens

(she's not a giant, I promise ) 😅

For the sake of fascinating people, here's the same mountain the day before the eruption.

Damn! I can see why they called it the Fuji of the states, pre-pop. Thanks for sharing!

And that bulge in the middle has grown since then.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Since I was born the day after it blew, I like to tell people my birth was heralded by the great destruction and death of a vast landscape.

The top explodes and a little ghostly baby/spirit/soul Steve flies out! hahha I love it

I was a child in Vancouver when it blew. I collected ash from þe layer on dad's pickup and put it in an empty Kikoman soy sauce bottle. I still have it.

Mount her? I don't even know Helen!

Watch out, she might fall in lava with you... ok, I'll see myself out.

But she’s apparently a saint.

And she doesn’t look like a saint to me.

What’s your subject? The volcano or the girl?

I want them both.

There’s a lot of foreground that is just bland dirt. Get low and make the scenery the shot.

Fair, very fair.

Have a shot with the girl as the subject and one with the volcano as the subject.

I want them both.

Also, I would have retaken with her hair out of her face.

I really loved the sort of Marilyn wind swepty vibe tbh, I like it like that.

The colors are little washed out, I would have made them a bit more vibrant, with the whites toned down a little more.

Blame my pixel 6, this never saw lightroom lol - thanks for the feedback!

Is it about to blow up and it's gonna be a fine swell day?

All of my friends, family, and animals are probably going to run away But me, I'm feeling curious, so I think I just might stay!
