Björk (2000)

Björk talking about a disassembled TV is one of the best videos out there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bR6KJhJ8iM

That shit made me so nervous. There's so much charge in the capacitors in CRT televisions that it would have instantly killed her had she touched the wrong thing. I remember working on a CRT monitor once and shorting across a cap that caused the tool to literally weld itself to the component. Thank fuck I wasn't touching the metal.

this is brilliant! Thanks!

A true classic. I hope future archeologists find it. 🥰

thats what she looks like? I think I have only seen her in wierd outfits where you can't really tell.

she's usually pretty low key

oh otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com gave a few things and I think I saw her with his second one where her hair is all wierd. I also might be be confusin her with other singers. I have not seen a whole lot of her stuff.

she's consistently great over decades. Some albums are more dense than the others but if you are willing to sink it in - her work is amazing through and through

Preach 🙇🏽‍♂️🙏🏻🤘🏻

also back in the day she was married to Matthew Barney who did Cremaster series of movies - these are hardcore abstract films that go all the way. Bjork was part of Drawing Restraint 9 movie, that's another of his long running series, compared to Cremaster it is basically a mainstream movie but it is fun because it applies this "quiet dafuq" method of melting viewer's brain

Through it all, she's one of those who're clearly fey-touched.

who are, ffs.

that's a way to put it

Here's a few, as primer:
