A bigger problem than the ears: the nose.

Hi everyone. In my previous post, I sent you a logo design and asked, "Does it look like a mouse?" After that post, I realized that the nose didn't resemble a ink pen tip at all. Therefore, after removing the ears, my first task was to try and make the nose look more like a pen tip. Personally, it looks too short; maybe I'll draw the logo from scratch. What do you think? Do you think it's too short?
In my opinion it look like a pen tip but it does not look like a nose :s

does it have to be just the head? Can't you make it write with the tail?
That's a sensible approach, I'll obviously try drawing something similar in my sketchbook. I'll post any good results here.
Please add some boundaries for the eyes, because I can't unsee a ghost trying to get tar out of a goblet.
