Can someone ELI5 what ozempic is even for? Really fuckin hate all these drug ads I'm seeing. Presumably if it would benefit me, my doctor will prescribe it, I don't need fucking Olympic ads telling me to go beg for this drug I have no idea what it does
Prediabetes/diabetes medication which creates drastic weight loss, so then was marketed solely for overweight people and was so popular it was sold out everywhere

The thing it does is protect the feeling full chemical made after you eat by blocking the things that normally clean it out, so the feeling full chemical lasts longer and you feel full more and less hungry.
That stops your brain thinking, "I'm hungry, grab that muffin for quick energy."
