Marinated (almond milk and hot sauce) and seasoned (garlic, onion, and cayenne) chicken breast. Panko breaded and pan fried. Topped with a fried egg, slice of swiss cheese, served on a toasted asiago ciabatta bread.
I have never heard of marinating something in almond milk. Does that even do anything? Usually buttermilk is a better choice for chicken because it has cultures in it that help to gently tenderize the meat, especially for breading and frying.
First time doing it. If at minimum it diluted the hot sauce enough to to coat well. Also didn't have to use any additional liquid or egg to get the panko to stick to the chicken. Very happy with the end result.
