Hard drives hit an important 44TB capacity milestone.

damn, and I thought my 12TB HDD was big

And nothing for us consumers?

Do you need more than the 32TB CMR disks they have up on Amazon right now?

Of course! 😛️

Yes actually I do, building a jellyfin server using my local libraries and any dvd I can buy at local good will and thrift stores to make my personal streaming service.

Remind me, which do we like more? H.A.M.R. or C.M.R.

CMR is simpler and more reliable/battle-tested IMO

I wish it were feasible to go back to 5.25" sized disks again.

Holding out for them 100tb NVME SSDs!
