Reeses chocolate has less chocolate than ever in it

Some of their peanut butter cups have zero real chocolate even in them now, just synthetic chocolate. Have you noticed how much more oily they are and how the taste has changed? Yep, that's increases in vegetable oil.

I can say though that the peanut butter cups sold by aldi are still a solid choice and a bag runs about $6.

American chocolate has nosedived over the past 5-10 years. Candy bars at the checkout of supermarkets are 1.50 or 2.00 a piece and taste far worse than the did when they were 50 cents.

Hershey's chocolate has always been bad. It's gotten worse over time, and you're right about prices, but it wasn't ever good chocolate.

How long until it has no chocolate in it? Enshittification has become so aggressive that supply chains and processes that used to be needed to make the product have been diminished or eliminated and so it becomes specialized. You want actual chocolate in your chocolate? That'll be $100 a piece.
