The Bay Area Considers the Unthinkable: Life Without BART

One common trip for me is $22 and 20 minutes by Uber vs. $8.50 and 80 minutes (four times as long, counting the busses to and from the train stations) by mass transit. I wonder if ride-hailing apps rather than covid are primarily responsible for the decline of BART.

That's insane. We need a housing crash so normal people can afford the bay area again
