Reticulum Network: How it Works and Why it's SO GOOD
2mon 13d ago by slrpnk.net/u/ProdigalFrog in Reticulum@mander.xyz from www.youtube.comI've been waiting for another post from this com for a while now. The first post I saw I forgot to subscribe and couldn't remember the name when I wanted to research it.
I really love the idea so I'm going to try it out. Looks like a fun project.
Thanks!
No prob! ^^
Is it still getting updated?
Looks to be, the last update on the github was a month ago.
EDIT: Ah, looking closer, it seems the main dev stepped back from the project in December, and I'm unsure where the community is continuing its development, so it may be in a standstill unless someone else maintains it.
Found this: https://codeberg.org/skyguy/retinethttps://github.com/markqvist/Reticulum/discussions/933
Hopefully it continues somewhere on codeberg.
Is geogram.radio and columba.network also just like reticulum?
Geogram looks really cool. I've never heard of it before. Do you have any experience using it?
No experience, I'm reading up on meshcore and reticulum, just discovered https://ratspeak.org/
Meshcore is more widespread and grows faster than Reticulum here in Europe.
Meshtastic is also worth looking into. It's the open source version of meshcore
I've heard of it , but everybody is switching to meshcore. https://map.meshcore.io/
Sometimes the link freezes ,just wait .
Why are people switching to meshcore?
Guess ease of use and + 40k nodes available around the world?
This one is open source for companion https://nodakmesh.org/blog/meshcore-open-app-free-open-source-meshcore-client
Is there a way to compare the number of meshcores versus meshtastic nodes in a given area?
Use split screen in your browser and zoom in to the area you need
