A strange rock formation found deep in the forest

Very cool!

Tafoni are commonly defined as small (less than 1 cm) to large (greater than 1 meter) cavity features

So if the cavity isn't under 1cm, isn't over 1m, and isn't anywhere in between, it's not a tafone. That's handy to know.

It is tho, the size probably refers to each individual hole not the whole formation. https://www.flickr.com/photos/candiedwomanire/sets/72057594071034836/with/6585081769/

It measures the hole, not the whole

They have hatched

They are coming

Karst limestone, I think.

Its free

Whatever hatched from that is now wandering that forest.

RUN!

Need a banana. For scale.
