Yeah, online circles seem way more divisive this time around. I did feel there was some amount of astroturfing by outside actors, but it's also hard to trust Irish media with the likes of RTE just covering up everything the government does wrong.
To add I don't think Sinn Fein are the answer, and I detest anti-immigration sentiment. But I sort of just think we're in the pan as it stands. We're basically just being toyed with by larger countries, and there's several ways this could go down.
This is a fearful time to live in.
Excellent article, both at OPs link and at The Journal (linked in the article). They're both well worth reading. It's worrying at the moment that the topic of outside interference is talked about so little compared to the topics the outside interference is actually stoking.
