PocketTerm35-Pi5 Handheld Linux Terminal with Raspberry Pi 5 and 3.5" Display

Add:

  • an HDMI port

  • a microphone at the bottom and a small speaker at the top

  • a flip-up cover to protect the screen and buttons while it's in my pocket

And then I'd love to have a single device that could replace both phone and laptop and fits in my pocket!

The rpi should have the hdmi port at least, so I suppose you could make a cutout for it.

Edit: ah, never mind, they are using the HDMI port internally to power the tiny screen.

Ooh thats a cool site. Not a pretty site but good info

I like that it's not "pretty". It's setup for info.

That's looks like a fun little device! It'd be cool if it had some kind of display out port though.

I've been looking at getting a no gui terminal device to use on public transit and such to avoid doom scrolling while still being able to read/write blogs and perhaps to some light programming. This is the first product that seems to be in a good price bracket for what purpose as well.
