New to Linux BTW

god i wish someone would unzip - mount - touch me rn

Shouldn't we get to know each other first?

chmod -R 777 me

Do whatever you want to me.

Recursive? I hope you don't have children

I understood that more as "what's inside me".

Ah, that we can work with

Alright. See that pile of dirty laundry there?

This makes 007 seem like a wanker.

chmod -R 007 me Oh no step brother Im stuck!

cd stomach && ls -a

cd ../colon && ls -a | grep poopie

cd ..

pwd

ls

ls -a

du -dh --max-depth=2

rm -rf appendix

echo hello world

cd ~/ ^C

rm -rf /*

^D

This incident will be reported.

From what logs?

Open up your properties to me baby 🩷

At least take me out to coffee first...

What kind of tits you got? I bet money they can be sucked.

unzip; strip; touch; finger; grep; mount; fsck; more; yes; fsck; fsck; umount; sleep

oh yeah you gotta mount that hard drive baby... fsck it real good until it gives you what you need... if you're not sure how to handle it ask the man for instructions...

You don’t have to mansplain

but... but... that's what the man is for... that's all the man knows how to do...

It isn't women's fault that you don't understand technical conversation

we don't unzip, we tar

would tar --help count

Since a competent typist could type that in at most 3 seconds, it's worth a shot.

what? 3 seconds for "tar --help"???, I could type that out faster in my phone? In a physical keyboard you could type thar in a fraction of a second?

you could type thar in a fraction of a second?

*boom*

lol that happens when I type in my phone, and my bad I was stupid enough to not read at most.

They also failed to read "at most".

It should, as long as you don't try to abbreviate it as tar -h though... the short form is tar -? which illustrates the joke nicely

Is

man tar

a Tar command or a Man command?

man command

I'd use tar -help and we'd all die

Probably not, the double-dash long commandline option is a GNU extension and isn't guaranteed to work with every tar implementation.

I use the mnemonic "extract ze file" for tar -xzf

tar -xcvf file.tar.gz /dev/random

Tear would be funnier. You tear the tar open.

Die, Net-Man! (1 finger) 👉💥

I would upvote but 'unzip'? We only 'gunzip' or 'tar xz' here.

Decompress, mount, touch

7z e

> tar xz
> looks inside
> not xz

Zip? What year is this?

Holy shit you have to be kidding me.

This is so embarassing

Holy fuck their creative team!

Largest desktop software company in the world. Fucking amazing.

Hahahah oh wow. So glad I embraced the penguin back in October. What a mess.

It's the iwizard and dawizard all over again (successfully renamed mage to wizard)

Clbuttic.

not as rar as you might hope it to be.

I did not give consent to be touched.

Sudo touch

(Very rapey)

Then you will not be very happy to learn, that in Linux you can get fingered. I the fingerer is gentle, they might even use the pinky.

sudo !!

I love this meme format so much lmao

grep this

since when did assign and create exist? back in the day all the pirates used daemontools to mount stuff... and everyone made new files in whatever program edits them...

You forgot tar

I guess it depends which distro

Depends on distro or kink.

Still wont need terminal and hack jobs to make a local account

Funny, haven't had to do that since 1991....

Between what?

Between what?

I know everyone is joking but this is my number two biggest reason I don't move to Linux, the nonsensical abbreviations and syntaxs of Linux command lines.

I hate them so much. And it's not like I haven't been using it since the late 90s.

This meme is so true in that Windows/dos commands just made better linguistic sense.

You a Powershell user? It's so bizarrely verbose, I've wondered "who could prefer this?" But I guess it's you.

Lol, indeed.

My old username in MIRC was verbose

What's no. 1?
