Yes please, made by Seth MacFarlane, that show would be so funny! It would be a "long voyage home" show, with them searching for their parents.
This sounds a little like Prodigy and maybe it should have been part of it. Imagine the crew picking them up as hitchhikers because they want in the same direction, they talk about their parents as quasi mystical creatures, not recognizing Holo Janeway as their mother, neither is she have programmed with memory about them. When they meet read Janeway, it's very awkward.

20 years ago it would've been funny, today it would just be more of the same lazy writing money grab.
People said the same thing about the TOS movies. And TNG. And the TNG movies. And DS9. And VOY. And ENT. And the Kelvin movies.
Someone will like it. Someone will get into Star Trek due to it. That is not a bad thing. Let the franchise grow in some capacity. If you don't like it, fine. But stagnation is the death of creativity. If it works, it works. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But you gain nothing but taking zero risks.
I was there for all of those things and much of the criticism was spot on.

The last four Star Trek shows I've watched were all fantastic. Stop being a crusty loser.

for real!
i wanted to hate starfleet academy so i avoided it until last weekend and HOLY FUCK do the scenes with holly hunter and paul giamatti give me goosebumps!
I genuinely think Giamatti is my favorite Star Trek villain now and let me tell you, that was a surprise.
the new generation of trek seems to do villians really well for some reason; i especially liked the new harry mudd.
