Are the new Pebbles being shipped? Has anyone received one yet? What are they like?
There was a lot of excitement when they were announced, lots of people being like "hooray I just ordered one", but suspiciously few like "hooray I just got it" ... and the new Round has been delayed from May to July ... so, where are all the happy new Pebble owners?
Beats the hell out of me. I was suspicious of this from the start. Being a prior Pebble owner (twice) I considered ordering one of these but I held out. Thus far I've just been holding my nose and continuing to use my now-apparently-antique Garmin Forerunner 230 but with basically all of its functionality disabled and without Garmin's bullshit via Gadgetbridge. Hey, I got it for free from a junk cleanout. Whadayawant?
I've held on to a lifelong policy of not preordering stuff. I know enough by now not to trust promises made by motherfuckers made anywhere in tech. If it physically exists, then I'll buy it.

Seems like the pebble watches are shipping and plenty of people are getting them. On the pebble reddit there's like 10 posts from today alone. What are you mad about?
https://old.reddit.com/r/pebblecheck it out yourself. I chose to swap my order from the time 2 to the round (the one that was announced January and delayed from May to July (from 5 months to 7, which isn't a huge deal to me). Seems plenty of people are getting their time 2s.
Seems like you just answered your own question. They were delayed. Why would you expect people to have something expected to ship in June/July?

It's not like they have a magical production run of a few units before the ship date of their other units. They're delayed.

Hopefully. Any evidence? Or are they taking the money from the new Round 2 pre-orders to build the watches that were ordered a year ago? When I pre-order a Round 2 now, am I expected to also wait a year for it to arrive, despite the "shipping in May" promise (that was recently changed to July)?
