AFP has been long overdue for retirement. I do wish Apple would improve their SMB implementation though, it’s had performance issues and weird bugs for ages.
Glad to hear I’m not the only one that has SMB issues lol. Can you recommend an alternative on Synology systems?
if your nas supports nfs, I would recommend using that; nfs on macOS works a lot better than the smb implementation
