There's nothing you can steal from a grocery store that can remotely justify hiting a bike with your car.
Regardless of whether or not they actually stole something, this is absolute bullshit.
Even a corpo mf who would value goods more than human life would have to acknowledge there's more money lost just in damage to the car and pole than whatever could potentially have been stolen.
Just to add: They are being charged with theft under, so that means that this was a "put food in backpack and run for it" and not "pull a gun/knife on a cashier to get the money from the till" situation.
Definitely zero reason for the police to put people's lives in danger
