I am sorry, but this does not look right...
Though I get the metal heat point and overall awesomeness, but there should be some kind of respect towards the history and artists of the icon, I believe.

That's very interesting.... I never thought of this as a disrespectful image. I saw this image as indicating the religious figures are "one of us", i.e. beings that could understand our problems and be prayed to. Indeed, inculturation is a principle of many mainstream Christian denominations, and many churches create depictions of religious figures as if they were from the local cultures.

The ideology of ICP fits in with this, the basic message being: do good, not evil, because otherwise you're part of the reason the world is so terrible and terrible things will happen to you. Songs such as Thy Unveiling specifically profess a belief in God and even skeptical songs such as Where's God are more about the Problem of Evil i.e. about why a benevolent omnipotent god would allow evil to exist. Note that this is the struggle of a confused believer, not of a dismissive heretic or an unbeliever, and the song even ends with the words "I still believe".

So basically this image's artist is taking second-hand materials that would likely end up in a landfill, and modifying them to reinforce a belief in good rather than evil to an audience who would likely interpret it as such, in a way that is accepted by many mainstream denominations. I don't see this as being disrespectful.
