Really like the aesthetic of this one, although that windmill sure is an eyesore on the landscape.
It is a wonder Doel still exists. I know about the expansion plans of the harbour and level Doel to the ground, just like they wanted in Ruigoord here in the Netherlands near Amsterdam decades ago. A lot of houses where squatted, lot of protesting, temporary deals and finally Doel is being redeveloped or so I hope. I used to squat in Amsterdam myself, lived in de Wielingen for instance.
Also, to me the windmill and the nuclear plant behind it makes a stark contrast between the old and new use of power.
In our village the windmill is still in use after more than 300 years.
I must admit that I had not even considered the depiction of the windmill and the nuclear plant in that way. I like that interpretation.
