USL announces leadership transition ahead of first-division, promotion-relegation launch

With big structural changes coming to USL, there's been a reshuffling of executives at the top
If USL manages to pull this off:
As part of those goals, the league is launching a new first-division outfit, USL Premier, in 2028. The USL also voted to implement promotion and relegation in its three-tier system, from the third-division League One to second-division USL Championship and into the new first-tier league.
If they go through with it, the USL will further cement itself as the real home of pro soccer/football in America. None of this cowardly, contrived MLS crap where the same teams can fail season after season with no repercussions.
MLS might retain the large majority of the money initially. But they will look increasingly silly. And I could see the money slowly flowing more into the USL over time.
I hope you're right. USL has been barely treading water for quite some time, but I love my local USLW and USL2 teams something fierce.
