Still haven't upgraded to full fibre NBN? From next year, NBN Co will make it mandatory for some premises

Pfft. Still on HFC with no alternative.

Blame the Coalition for sucking bloody Murdoch's rotten dick for "MTM".

Oh absolutely. I if I ever see Abbott oor Turnbull in person i'm gonna start throwing fists.

Sure thing. Fucking install it in my area

Before NBN came to my area, I had fibre to the node with new copper between the node and my home

Now I have a choice: my old fibre to the node with a node 50m from the termination in my home, or NBN fibre to the node with a node 2km away and 1970s copper between

Neighbours on NBN get about half the speed of the old solution

When they eventually roll out FTTH here I'll probably change over. I'm not holding my breath

NBN - Yesterday's Technology, Soon.

Not at all.

Fiber is low latency, high speed and it's secure. It's basically the gold standard.

And it's connected to everyone's homes as promised already?

100% fiber wasn't even in the first iteration of NBN, but libs sabotaged that anyway.. It has been rapidly rolling out and replacing the lib garbage

However, fiber is the gold standard regardless. Rural areas however will likely need wireless technologies. That doesn't make the NBN obsolete to any capacity

By the way, what do you think NBN is obsoleted by?

Yeah we're gonna create an Internet connection that goes faster than the speed of LIGHT
