I wonder how many people who serve in a military actually take a life? I suspect it would be very few, only a small part of a modern military is actually combat arms, and only a small part of that small part would ever actually kill anyone.
And most of them probably do it through a computer screen rather than face to face.
Or from a cockpit. Although there is still a lot of combat with small arms.
