Rain gives Corpus Christi a small break, delaying projected water crisis by 3 months

The fact they aren't already on restrictions is crazy. You get into a do or die situation and that's when you start cutting back?

They got themselves into this mess in the first place by selling all their drinking water to industrial customers. Then they shelved their plans for desalination plants. Nothing is going to change in three months.

Nice. Shelve plans to make your own plant then pay a premium for water from a private company.

QUICK! Someone build a giant data center that uses insane amounts of water! What could possibly go wrong?
