Another week has gone by, and another open thread comes to life! Hope you've all had a great week!
Feel free to talk about any topics that you like, shmup-related, videogame-related, or not!
Of course it's fun to talk about the games we've been playing. I'm currently replaying Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edtion right now because I've got a copy of HW: Age of Imprisonment coming the mail, and I want to be ready. Sometimes you've got to knock the rust off your brain, you know?

I played Metal Hawk (ACA version on Switch) after getting it during the sale. Nice game, causes a bit of motion sickness. Perfect game for a 20 minute credit-feed session or to get a quick clear. Controls are a little challenging: you can use the right stick or the shoulder buttons to handle altitude. I ended up using the shoulder buttons to begin with so now I'm stuck with that I guess. The types of enemies and locations aren't that varied, but the point is survival and avoiding cheap deaths caused by kamikaze enemies. Most of the levels I can do fine on, but there is one that just messes everything up for me. STG Weekly did an episode on it about 8 years ago.
I might try and go a week without getting a new game. AKTANE did a G.Rev tier list that made me want to try out Under Defeat again. I played some Street Fighter too and I am ruuuuuusty.
