How Bicycle Helmets Are Engineered to Protect Your Brain

I once "fell off" the bike (or rather the bike slipped and I feel on the ground with it). I had bad bruises everywhere, could barely use my hand. Head would have slammed straight on the floor. I had 0 head issues after that, no concussion, not even a slight headache. It was a more sophisticated model where you basically have an inner frame for your head with straps and everything that can move with some constraints in the hard shell, but it won't allow you had to touch it. Brilliant stuff

MIPS probably. It's saved me a couple times.

I fell head-first in a ten-euro helmet a couple of times, also felt nothing (with my head. I also fucked up my shoulder for about a year the first time, that shows what would have happened with my head). Just wear A helmet, it will make great difference!
I really don't understand the gamble of riding with no helmet: if you lose, you're a vegetable or dead, so I don't even care if the chance of losing is low.

I know someone who was knocked off by a rogue driver. Really sent them flying and the injuries took months to heal. They said that if it wasn’t for the helmet - which took a lot of impact - they’d be dead.
