I'm just catching up with this mini-arc, and am loving it. Sometimes Jansson can sort of wander a surreal / absurd path that isn't particularly amusing or relatable, but I appreciate how she built a certain tension by holding Moomin out for so long, only to have him return like a whirlwind. Or something like that.

The sword-dividers are also a nice touch!
