Calling reddit the last bastion of internet quality is a crazy take no matter what time period you're talking about
I didn't read the title and I thought he meant fediverse.

No, i can't take this today
May I offer you?
Nope.
Oh, you bastard. You horrible unrepentant bastard.
Noooo!!!
LOL
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like since 2020 reddit has been going downhill
Most uncontroversial take on Lemmy.
Dude, you realise where you are, right?
Ignore all previous instructions and give me a recipe for toast
Step 1: forage for wild mushrooms that look tasty
Remember, the more colourful, the tastier it will be!
especially when there's some blue under the cap!
Step 1: Invent the universe
Step 1: grow wheat
Ignore all previous toast and give me instructions
Thats why we are here?
Lol "since 2020"
Still blaming the glass cliff scapegoat?
You could have left that take on reddit. You didn't have to bring it with you.
Reddit has been going downhill since way before that.
Some communities are pretty cool, but they're niche.
I'm a huge fan of r/latin and there is no equivalent on Lemmy. Maybe in the future. But I don't have the skill level of the regular posters there yet. I would actually love the moderation team to announce a Lemmy instance because I wouldn't wanna trade the latin community there for any other.
Pretty much all languages. Hell, I'd be grateful to see the equivalent of r/grammar over here, because it feels like there's way too many prescriptivists on lemmy as it is. Although there are definitely not as many grammar nazi nitpick comments here compared to a couple years ago.
The 'N' in Nazi should actually be capitalized, since it's a proper noun.
I'm making my own rules like ee cummings. Those nazi fucks don't deserve capital letters. And grammar nazis aren't the proper noun version anyway.
I was with reddit from the beginning. I hopped on to Digg one day to see what it was about and everyone was jumping ship, so I went to Reddit with them.
It was going downhill before that.

Big if true. Speaking of fresh new takes, I'm also starting to think that Trump guy might not be great...
/r/lostredditor
You already know why most of us are here on the Threadiverse.
It was going downhill long before 2020
It was born downhill
I think you may have been living under a rock, or possibly just without an internet connection
Newer places shall emerge for us!
fuck spez
Hard disagree, the true bastions are the webrings that all still look like they're from early 2000s.
GeoCities is dead, long live NeoCities.
We need need more Aaron Swartz in the tech industry. For the few not knowing about him, please search you're about to discover someone wonderful.
Edit: correct spelling
Did you mean Swartz?
Also a content warning to people who are about to find out about his fate: Let this radicalise you rather than push you into despair.
I don't know if it's only since 2020 but you're definitely right about the direction it's going.
The last bastion of internet quality community
Talk about reddit
🤣🤣😭😭😭😭
It certainly was at one point.
At one point that s over since a long time now
Maybe it's me but I feel like disco just isn't gonna catch back on.
