“Predicts”
I suspect he would have less flesh today.

dear lord, you did me a spook
"What would Henry VIII say if he were alive today?"
"Help help let me out it's dark and I can't breathe in here, help help help!"
Why would we trust AI over someone who was painting the person right in front of them?
It's a joke. It is not actually an AI picture, but a photo of some random guy who slightly resembles him.
Portraits were definitely "improved" by artists to make the person look thinner, paler, etc. The happier the customer, the more likely they would get work within their elite inner circle (portraits were a luxury, not common for most of history).
They were done by skilled people with training though. Early paints were not easy to use as they were not nicely mixed in metal tubes. They had to be manually mixed pigments and binders (many containing lead and mercury).
Henry the 8th was hot as hell as a young, fit adult. There are libraries of vague, contemporaneous homoeroticism preserved to verify it. The pic on the right significantly decreases his attractiveness in a way that feels almost antagonistic.
Tbf, if I lived around someone as psychotic as Henry VII, I'd flatter him too.
Apparently, Henry loved to joust.
He probably took a lot of concussions.
Might explain a lot.

Wasn't being chubby seen as an attractive trait back then because it implied wealth?
I don't think his most attractive period was considered to be once he became obese
No, this is some apocryphal nonsense that became a “fun fact” spread by everyone.
ooo, aporcyphal nonsense is my favorite kind of nonsense
It’s fun, usually.
Ok, the picture is of him from when he's older
De gustibus non disputandem est!
True, but I’mean, people age.
Into having larger, more expressive features? It’s fairly uncommon for tiny mouthed Clint Eastwood to shift into tiny mouthed Gabriel Iglesias
Ran into this absolute unit in big tesco.
This is the face of a man who hosts a cooking show based on the premise of finding a wife he can later divorce or behead.
They're the same picture
Same is true for Handel, he wouldn't look out of place down the pub watching football. That powdered wig does a lot of heavy lifting making him look contemporary to his era and class.
Hasn’t aged a day!
Kick the bawwlllll!!!
Yeah, he'd look like a chud now too.
Looks like my aunts best friend/roomate.
