Editing photos is a fine thing to do. No one posted undeveloped negatives back in the day, instead people took the time to bring out good contrast and color.

With raw digital images, proper editing is the same as development: it’s about making the pictures you’ve captured look how you want them to look. As shot, most raws are murky, lacking in contrast and brilliance, but are full of potential.
