I see Skinny Puppy, I upvote.

I see a NIN reference, I upvote

❤️

I did a little digging and I like your music.

Oh :) Thanks so much for listening I really appreciate you for it, it's a pretty big mish mosh of genres since my influences are all over the place. These guys definitely were an early influence though, in sparking my love for synthesizers and strange noises haha.

It didn't really go over too hot but I have fun anyways :) I have a few (bad) videos on youtube too if you look for etherphon there. I never really posted any of it on lemmy/piefed yet because I've got a big case of middle kid syndrome so I don't really like to make a fuss about myself just drop a lot of hints lmao.

I love the Robert Anton Wison quote in your profile :) Are you into music making yourself?

Thank you again <3

One of my favorite psybient artist is Bluetech. Are you familiar?

Oh yeah big fan, even bought a shirt :) He has nice light playful melodies mixed with some nice dub and psychedelic sounds, it's lovely music. He was one to really kick off that genre I think along with the Hallucinogen in Dub album then everyone wanted to do one haha.

Which? There's 4 I think right? Yeah they're good, it's hard to pick a favorite really I like the simplicity of his earlier stuff but then his newer stuff has more mature sound design and melody, I like his work with Steve Moore too as Ovoid Crafts, I bought the Liminal MIgration vinyl, it's a bit more ambient/slow techno than the kind of busy dub of Bluetech.

I wasn't aware of Ovoid Crafts.

I am a music fan, not a maker, though.

I think you just solved a 20 year mystery for me. Back in the early 00s some form of this video used to play on one of the 700+ channels on Comcast. I was a teen back then and just stumbled upon it. I sat and watched for about 20 minutes almost in a trance because what the fuck was I watching. I've never been able to find that video. It's been stuck in my head and I've been on a search for it for literally 20 years. I think I finally found it thanks to you.

My memory of it is fuzzy. I remember the colors of the video pretty much matching this one 100%. I remember the music being something I never heard before. A crazy fucking mix of Nine Inch Nails and metal. That's what this is. What always threw me off from finding it was I remember some form of bee keepers uniform. A woman wearing a giant bee mask on her head. Looking at this now I can totally understand how my mind would remember it wrongly. It wasn't a bee keepers outfit. It was their hair and the soldier that comes in later and shoots the guy. Looks like he could be wearing a bee keepers outfit.

Part of me is like, do I keep searching for the video to find an exact match to my memory, or do I accept this as what I remember. This is so vividly pulling me back to 2005 and a memory from my life that I think this is it. I think you found it for me! Thank you!

Happy to assist.
