As a child it's so hard to know what is actually bad and what your parents don't really care about.

This is also why if I ever have child(ren), I want to be upfront about them telling me if something bad happened.

I will generally not judge them, and even if I do, I think it's better to empathise first without judging, then look for a solution and end it with "it would def be better to do X or Y".

That said... the ONE thing I'm going to really judge anyone about is if they take all the cookies. Sorry, but nobody empties the cookie bin without refilling it.

Aye. Our kid hasn't done anything quite this dramatic (yet, but also only a toddler), but has done things like spill milk over the sofa which I know some people would go apeshit over, but if the kid is already upset there's no need to rub it in.

You know what, nothing teaches better to hold a cup with two hands!

You definitely don't want to rub it in, you'll never get the smell out.

DON'T DO IT CALVIN! IT'S A TRAP! DROP HOBBES DOWN FIRST TO SEE IF IT QUENCHES HER BLOOD THIRST!

I love how every once in a while there's a comic from the parents perspective and he's just a normal kid with loving parents.

Now he is pushing it.
