From Owl Ridge Raptor Center

A few of the wee Screech owlets.

These are the cutest little owlets, but are about to begin "mice school" to become skilled hunters.

Screech Owls, (despite being small and adorable, are fierce predators), known to hunt mice, voles, crawfish, frogs, minnows, small birds, many insects and even the

occasional bat!!

I love listening to them talk to each other and observing their behaviors.

They are growing up very fast

This is a great example of the feather control they have. They're all the same kind of owl, but they're making themselves look very different from each other depending how they are positioning their floof.
