The White House blocked a study on alcohol consumption. This is what it said

The study, finally released on Tuesday in the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, found no benefits to moderate levels of drinking.

It recommends that adults should limit themselves to one drink or less per day, and researchers say these findings should have informed the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA).

“No protective effect of drinking was observed even at low levels, and a lifetime risk of 1 alcohol-attributable death per 1,000 people occurred at roughly 7 drinks per week for both males and females, with risks rising sharply beyond this level,” the study stated.

The new legal limit is however much Hegseth has drank.

I blew two hegseths over the limit sounds bad.

Pretty sure the average person dies at two hegseths over the limit.

And the average person would prefer to die, rather than blow Hegseth even once.

I don't know why someone would downvote you for getting the joke.

Maybe Hegseth has a Lemmy account?

Another joke. Thanks.

I blew two Hegseths over the weekend sounds worse.

Surely that’s 0.002 hegseths? Or is it like calories?

And that's why THCa is being banned again in Tennessee.

The liquor lobby has a strong grip here.

If you're an American. Drink something other than jack Daniels. They are a horrible company and have control over the Tennessee ABC board

If you crave that flavor drink some of the original stuff that's put out by the green family.

Edit: Last year Tennessee placed hemp regulation under the alcohol beverage commission. Because the department of agriculture said that they were not able to properly police hemp production.

And then ABC promptly banned thca

Wisconsin has the tavern league, fuckin hate em

control over the what

Oh my bad. Toddler in my lap

Don't buy big name liquors from Kentucky either. They heavily back McConnell.

Would I be extreme to say I'd consider anyone doing one drink per day to be an alcoholic? Seven per month doesn't sound unreasonable.

Lots of ppl have a glass of wine with dinner every night. That would be too much for me, though.

I kind of agree. Pretty much anything you do daily is a habit. Not that all habits are bad, but I think even before this study I don't think doctor in the last few decades would recommended a daily drink.

Pete is behind this
